Eco-Designs - a new day re-dawning!

Hello!

Welcome to the website for Eco-Designs.

Eco-Designs original inception was born during CPD on the BTEC HNC in Building Studies 2001-2003.

(THE most damning prophecy delivered by our lecturer in 2002, on the BTEC HNC in Building Studies 2001-2003, also led to the vision that formed ARK designs as a social enterprise.  To be explained separately.)

Suffice to say, for now, that this website is currently being re-built after the loss of all our previous websites, including Eco-Designs and ARKs, and you have arrived at a moment early in this re-building process.

Ron Peach and I originally formed Eco-Designs to help people to find all the resources needed to build their own affordable eco-homes and eco communities - between us having some fifty years experience in the field of building and construction.

Ron went on to further study with CIOB, later receiving a doctorate in Project Management, while I went on to research to find all the lowest cost, most viable and proven alternative technologies and exemplars of sustainable design to further inspire the services we offered.

Over the years, we have built up networks within the fields of ecological design, both in terms of design engineers and structural engineers to partner with - and also in terms of the EcoVillage Network UK - what works for one works for hundreds - or thousands.

We are now re-building this website as a mother and son team - I'm focussed on eco-architectural design - Patrick is focussed on landscape gardening, Permaculture design, and regenerative agriculture.

More on this later, for now, this is just a very brief introduction.  If you would like any more information, please contact us and we will reply as soon as we can.

There are so many good solutions to the Housing Crisis - from building your own eco-home in your own intentional eco-community, to Tiny Homes on wheels - and living in a van, (or a tent, a yurt, or a tepee, but all are land dependent, (or are they)?

We are passionate about ecological designs - for individual and for community benefit - as well as for environmental and economical benefits too, and love EcoVillages!
